Design of a hydrophone to be used in off-shore oil exploration is presented. Design is done with the help of Finite Element Modeling using the commercial package ATILA. Three different configurations are modeled and best one is selected for fabrication. Prototypes met the performance specifications and the technology was transferred to a production agency.Keywords
